Howdy folks. Sorry about the confusion on the dates and times.
I've been taking Scuba lessons and couldn't get a firm date from the instructor for my check out dive weekend until just the other day. We are doing that this weekend (weather permitting) so we should be ok.
The plan is to have our October meeting on Saturday October 28th starting at 12:00 Noon at my house in Decatur. We'll start around lunch time so come hungry. I am planning on serving a local favorite, Buffalo Chicken Fingers from Roosters and anything else ya'll wanna bring.
The theme of this meeting will be "Small Systems Maintenance". I have 4 small tanks so I thought that would be appropriate. I will share my experiences, techniques, problems, etc. Tomoko has some videos from a previous MACNA that we will watch also and perhaps we'll end the meeting with another visit to Coral Reef Aquatics in Athens if anyone's interested in doing that.
My tanks are as follows - 46 fish only w/ live rock, 55 emerging reef, 20 gallon & 10 gallon frag tanks).
Please bring any frags, equipment and anything else you'd like to swap or sell. I have digital scales also that I use to weigh out salt mix so if Tomoko brings another big bag of Kalk we can split it up easily.
I'm fragging up some Pink Pulsing Pom-Pom Xenia and some Lemnalia this week so it will ready in time for the meeting. (yes, I know, everybody's got xenia, but really not everyone does and this is a nice variety). Plus if you're just getting started, you could use some free frags, right?
I'll post a Poll in a few days to try and get an idea of how many are planning on coming so watch for that.
I'll also post directions soon on our website

My house is really easy to find and is located just 1 mile off of interstate 65 in Decatur (Priceville Area).
If I get rained out this weekend, our backup plan will be to have it the following weekend November 4th (hopefully that won't happen).
Hope to see everyone soon!
