Octopus NW 110 Pump

Has anyone been successful in replacing the pump on this skimmer with something better than the OTP 1000 it comes with? I'm interested in retrofitting another pump in the 250 to 265 gph range (the current specs of the OTP 1000) but quieter than the stock pump and with a pinwheel not a needlewheel.

no but you can get an OTP with pinwheel. its not really quieter but it works better than the needlewheel.
