odd color hammer help

Ty cptn. I have been looking all over and could never find what type it was. I was pretty sure it wasn't bleached because it has been looking healthy since I got it.

I have one close to that, It was supose to be metallic green. Some times its yellow some times its light green. Its at the top of the tank. I don't have a pic of it.

Yep, it is definitely supposed to look like that. It looks really awesome under a 20k spectrum. You'll have this giant glowing teal wavy wall in no time.

I have phoenix 14k's =/. Maybe I will try 20k next go round. The hammer and my frogspawn are both branching. I put them next to each other so their tentacles would eventually intertwine.

Since I have moved it back down lower in the tank, I have noticed it coloring up nicely the past few days. I'm about to be heading out of town so, maybe I can get another picture or 2 before I leave.

color update
what color you think now? lol

OP it's hard to tell from the pics but it looks like it's coloring up nicely from where it first started, especially the base of the tentacles. It's tricky sometimes getting photos of light colored corals to come out without making the coral look bleached or washed out but this one looks like it's turning out pretty nice :)

Yeah I dont think its been bleached....every coral is different and everyones tank is different....that just looks like a pale orange with white tips....it might get brighter under different lights like led's,but other than that it looks healthy and if you like it and its growing then nothing to worry about

jcg...... you just got yours if i remember looking through post correctly? Just my 0.02...... you should move the torch away from that rock because it may kill one of the other 2 once it starts growing and can touch them. I have my torch on the opposite side of the tank. As far as the hammer goes, its just a funky looking color isn't it? I don't know what to think of it. lol Ty organism and scs!

Yes I've had mine for two weeks now and moved everything around I'll post pics when I get home everything is happy now, my hammers tentacles are starting to turn a greenish color and it's growing 3 new heads, the hammer was kinda bleached when I got it

The Hammer coral I have is under 20k-250w bulbs and looks very bright green with blue tips, but the very same coral which I fragged and put in my other tank looks identical to yours.

Some days its green some days its yellow. I've had it for months and its twice the size of when I got it.
