Odd Goby Behavior

I've seen a few older threads about weird Goby behavior... here's mine - -

My Yellow Watchman Goby hides sometimes, but he usually likes to be higher up in the tank. I panic and search the floor when I don't see him :uhoh2:
Here's a pic of one of his strange hangouts - on top of my magnetic algae scraper. A while back, he was pretty much living inside an acclimation container I had attached to one side of the tank a while back. It was open on the top and some egg crate on the bottom for frags, so he had free movement in/out. He seems settled when he finds a spot he likes, so I don't think he is stressed... just weird, huh?

My watchman is a weirdo too...
Thought he jumped on a few occasions...

Once he went missing and I couldn't find him anywhere...

Eventually about 2 or so months later I found him living it up in my sump.. Fat and healthy.

Eventually got him out... Only for him to pull the same stunt about a month later...

Moved him back again recently... Been in the display for a while now but I'm sure it's only a matter of time [emoji23]

Still not sure how he gets past the grill of the over overflow... He's definitely not that slim to slide through.
