Odd Wrasse Behavior

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I purchased my first ever fairy wrasse.

Anyways, it was doing some weird stuff yesterday. Once I let it in the tank, it went into a little hole w/ its head out of the hole and after a few hours I saw some spider web looking stuff near the opening of the hole. I'm not sure if the wrasse did this or something in the tank came and got caught on the hole. It didn't come out of the hole all day.

The spider web stuff is a protective cocoon they'll "spin" every night. It's normal, just give him time and he'll come out

thanks. He actually came out today and even tried to eat.

What's a good diet for them? I have a candy hog wrasse that eats anything, but I"ve never had fairies.

i feed mysis, chopped shrimp, chopped scallops, soaked in selcon. Good pellets. Cyclopeze every now and then. Few of my fairies even love nori.

They'll eat just about anything like the candy hog
