ok i had a star polyup.. but it died like 4 days ago.. but i kelped the rock and i added araglive and more live rock.. well anyways.. now it seems my polyp came back to live.. it's stalks i guess u wanan call it is up like before with green dots.. is this normal.. if so what causes it..when it died nothing was on the rock what so ever..

Are we talking about green star polyps? If so, when they are closed up they may look like your rock is covered in coralline algae, no polyps. They grow in a purple mat and spread the same way.
