Odyssea Lights on ebay

Anyone else ever bought one of these lights off ebay? I just got mine about 4 days ago, and I love it. Look at my pics on my gallery. Its one of the best hoods I've seen for a cheap price. Cant beat the $299 price tag, for 2-175w 20k HQI's, 6-moonlights, 2-96w CF actinic lights.

I was looking at the refugium lights by Odyssea on ebay. Wondered if the brand was good.

My Odyssea PC lights weren't the best but the MH ones seem to be of better quality.... at least look to be.

A link to your particular light might be helpful for some... the price certainly is right.

Odyssea doesn't make the best of all lights. Many people have had problems with them.

It seems to work very well, at least for my needs!

I bought the oddysea PC fixture 48" 260w--- real good price....

my complaints--

1. cord on end instead of back
2. 3 sets of lights (white, actinic, & moon)-- but one cord so you can't automatically time your lights seperately...
3. Fans were very loud for the first month
4. Fans quit after first month

but--- The lights are fine and seem to work ok without the fans running.

That fixture looks alot better made then mine--

I am currently running 5 different brands of light jebo,odyssea,customsealife,and 2 off brands I dont know off the top of my head but ....................I am running shallow tanks that are 10 foot long and a water depth of 8- 10 inches . I can visablly tell that the odyssea is not doing as well as the other and I would actually go to say that I would rate the last out of them 3 odyssea as number 2 etc. but this is for coral growth not for a sump. When you recieve your hood be sure to remove the plastic blue wrapping over the reflector it is not removed upon aseembly no does it say that it is there
