if have heard that flasher wrasses need to be feed a min. of 3 times per day and i have also heard that they dont what do you guys think? im looking into getting one.:D

I feed mine twice per day, but I prefer to feed all my fish twice per day. They do not need to be fed 3 times per day - I would be interested in the reasoning behind that contention.

i think you mean anthias fish need multiple feedings -- my wrasse searches the rock if its hungry --
the point is feed enough to be healthy but dont pollute the water - for me thats two small feedings

i heard that beacouse they are like anthias beacouse they eat plankton and stuff all day long
and need to be feed numerous times a day

Twice per day is usually a good rule of thumb. I feed my fish once a day but will increase it when I get my anthias.

I have a pair of Flame Wrasse that do fine being fed once a day. Sometimes I'll throw in some flakes in the morning for a treat. They hunt the rocks all day for pods, etc. As others have pointed out, the problem with feeding too often is increased nutrients from left over food, poop, etc. IME fish will eat whenever there's food so I wouldn't use their appetite as an indicator of how often to feed.

I have a filamented flasher wrasse and I feed him 2-3 times per day. They are extremley active fish, like anthias, and have a very fast metabolism. If you starve them (1 feeding a day) they will lose their bright coloration and eventually wither away. If your tank can't handle/you don't have time for multiple feedings, then you should look into another fish.
