am searching for a travel agent, preferably on the west shore so i can go during lunch.

since i never used one, i have no idea who/what/how/when/why to even begin to look. Saw a bunch on google but nothing great.

thanks

I haven't use a real "agent" in probably 15 years or more with the internet there are plenty of choices, we use mostly Expedia.com. where are thinking of going?

I agree, if your just going from "A" to "B", skip the agency and their fee. However, if the trip is going to take you bouncing across the globe for several weeks a good agency can set up flights, hotels, and car rentals with so much more ease. Regarding multiple destinations, if you have the time and desire, you can DIY, and maybe save some $$$ but sometimes an agency can put together a "package deal". Enjoy!

Oh yeah...Liberty Travel...always had a bottle of wine waiting for me in my room when I arrived at each hotel:) Keep in mind when you're drinking it that YOU paid for it!!!

Brian,

Stay away from the wine where you're going.....you'll want BEER!:D (as you mentioned Saturday). Have a great trip!!!!!

I used liberty for a trip to Mexico and Punta Cana, got me cheaper rates than me going to the hotel and airline direct. Had a van waiting when we got off the plane so I didn't have to fight with the 485 natives trying to grab your bags and throw them in a taxi as soon as you step foot off the plane.

not exactly sure where we are going which is why a travel agent may be best.

situation: marriage

our destinations:
san diego, hotel del coronado
hawaii, not sure where in hawaii

now i also have to lug some kids along for about 4 days then ship them back. So this means i have to make it to sea world and san dieago zoo as well.

may also just rent a condo in San Deigo and then goto the del coronado and skip hawaii.

Hawaii - Great choice! Get used to seeing lots of this......
