Off topic - Flooring

Does anyone know where to get flooring cheap. Either a cheap dealer or even an overstock place. I am looking for both tile and wood.

Are you looking for local only and wood only? If not try laminatefloorscheap.com. I bought about 1100 sqaure feet from them several years ago and did it myself. Good quality stuff but pretty inexpensive compared to HD and Lowes similar products. I bought the Balta/Balterio brand.

homedepot has some laminate for .88 a square foot on sale this week .... i got the same stuff about 4 months ago and did my livingroom and bedrooms and it came out pretty good

I friend of mine used Lumber Liquidators and was able to get it all done pretty cheap. He did real hardwood floors, not laminate.

I am really looking for warehouse pricing. I am looking for a travertine tile and/or wood wither real or laminate. I am not looking for cheap as much as i am looking for a deal.

We got the tile in our kitchen in Dade. There is about a one mile strip of flooring places that have the best prices, by far. The prices were probably about 40% less there than in Broward. I forgot the street #/name, but I'll look for the reciept tonight and give you the address so you can mapquest it and see where the street is. Definately worth the trip. Just be careful if you buy tile to be sure the quality is good. Our installer cautioned us on this. If the back of the tile is white, the tile is of good quality. If you can see color on the back, the tile isn't as strong.

Thanx Trigeek. Yea I know that there are all kinda qualities out there. I was actually leaning toward a travertine tile. Its a stone.

I think the area that Trigeek is referring to is just west of SR826 (Palmetto Expressway) at NW 36 Street .

Exit NW 36 St go west to the first intersection I think it is 87th Ave. Then go south (left) there DOZENS of flooring places most of them dealing in tile and stone flooring. PM with your phone number if you need more info.
