Off Topic need laptop help

Okay so I called ATT about my speed of my internet only being about 6500 kbps and they had me mess around all my setting and now my wireless card is jacked I called them and all they do is transfer me around for about 2 hours. Is there anyone that could come over and fix it or try to. I think I may need a new card but I will not put the money into this Dinosaur it is a HP pavilion DV running on window xp. I tried to use hp wireless assist but it not helping I do know some things about computer but its not my specialty. I can give frags if you can fix it. LMK

Thanks for trying I need a new hp but a desktop. good price too. vista 64 bit ,22 monitor ,subwoofer and wirless keyboark and mouse, 6 gigs of ram. 150 gigs of harddrive and 1 gig gen force card. for 1,600. Not bad at all.
