Oh NO!!!! Not Pyramid Snails

I am in the process of setting up my 315G in which I will take all inhabitants from my 90G. So long story short, as I am noticing that my clam is not looking top notch I find this !@#$@!

So I look a little more and find these......

I took them out but I know that their are more.....I am not an expert so I need a definite answer if they are pyramid snails. They are not white and they were only around 1 of my 3 clams.

Can you get a closer shot? Hard for me to see. Usually the Pym's I found are more of a white color.

there not pyrams, but there are many types of snails that will pray on clams. i would check and clean just as u would if they were pyrams

Silly question - how can you tell if it's a baby cerith or the bane of our clam collecting, "pyram"?

Still not sure how to differentiate between small ceriths or the small pyrams but having that pick helps,

They don't look like any of the pyramid snails that I've seen, but can't identify the species pictured. Might be Stomy's......I have found alot of them hiding under my clams.

Dr. Ron informed that they are peppermint snails and said they are scavengers......
