ohm786's Rimless Cube Build

Hello folks, I am a bit of a neophyte to saltwater aquariums. This is my second tank overall and my first serious build. I was inspired by d2mini's rimless cube and knew I wanted to do something similar for my living room.

After scouring the net and local listings I was able to find a great buy on a 100G Rimless Cube aquarium. The stand was a custom build job with a lot of potential.

Below are pictures of the aquarium and stand in my living room. The aquarium needs a thorough scrub down and the stand needs to be repainted.

I plan to sell the large external skimmer and small sump. I want to replace these items with a bigger sump/refugium and an in sump cone/recirculating skimmer. I want to have a refugium with plenty of room for macro algae.

I will also need room for media reactors and dosing.

The lighting I received with this tank was a MH Pendant with 400W IceCap ballast. The bulb used was a 20K Radium. The light was left on for a 10 hour cycle previously.

Great looking setup, what are the dimensions? Im starting to look to buy a home and get out of my apartment. Ill have to wait and see whether a long tank, or cube fits!!

Tank is 30x30x20. The stand is 32x32x36. These dimensions seem to be perfect for my living room, enough size and depth.

This tank is from Glass Cages, front left and right panes use their Guardian low-iron glass pane.
