oil-based gloss paint

will this type of paint ruin the silicone joints of my tank....

just painted back and half sides of tank but just read this type of paint will eat into the silicone and weaken the joints so looking for a definative answer from you chemistry peeps

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't guess that it will cause the siicone to come apart.

Anyone try it?
