OK Got a new one here. Fish is in QT, being treated and now this...

Ok, I received two Percula Clownfish that were a mated pair. The female was showing signs of Ich and maybe brook. I started a Culaprine copper treatment and have been at the suggested levels for 2 weeks. The fish have been eating great, not flashing or rubbing on anything and all the spots seem to disappear. Well today I noticed the female has white "bumps" all over her body and fins. These are raised bumps that look horrible.

Any guess to what this might be? I have just received a bottle of Formalin, if that will treat it.

From the pics, I can't say for certain what that is. However, being these are clownfish and have already been in Cupramine for 2 weeks... I would be inclined to give them both a formalin bath, just in case this is Brook you are dealing with.

Looks like early stages of Brooklynella to me. Are these the same fish from your earlier posts, or different ones? If different, did you obtain them from the same source?

Same fish. I was told first that it looked like ich, I got some medication semi-locally. After starting copper treatment, I was told it looked like brook. I already was in the treatment stage and had to order formalin online. After 3 days of being in copper treatment, the bumps went away and the fish looked good.

I thought it was ich or some other form of parasite that would be cured with copper. But now they are back in full force. Like I said the fish eat every time I feed them (twice a day) and eat everything I feed them.

Should I run carbon, change 25% water and start formaline?

FYI: I have seen these exact bumps at the LFS I bought these guys from on some other clowns and they have been that way for 1 1/2 months or so.

You don't want to use formalin in tank. Use it as a bath solution for 45-60 mins in a glass bowl or something. Aerate the bowl heavily, as formalin will quickly deplete the water of oxygen. Return the clowns to the tank with copper when done.
