Ok guys and gals I need some advise

i would like to get a good skimmer capable of handling the load of a 180 gallon. I only have a 100 but who knows what the future will bring. Anyway, I have been out of the scene for a while so a recommendation would be appreciated.

Maybe an Octopus Extreme 200 if your not looking to break the bank. Around 289.99 online or you could call up Sean at Emerald Bay or Rhett (commonstranger) from Lighthouse Corals and they could cut you a pretty good deal.

I've heard nothing but good things about those skimmers so much so that I am probably going to get an extreme 160 myself... I would have wanted a extreme 200 but it wont fit in my sump.:mad2:

Still a fan of MRC, but no one else seems to be these days... I've got an MR2 and an MR4. They need attention, but I don't mind a little tweak every once in a while. Skimmer should be cleaned at least once a week anyway.

I can't agree with gary more. The skimmers are *awesome*, but you have to baby them.

i have a octop dnwb 150 its and ext one but it works great, best i've ever had. i have it on my new 180....
