Very nice! Looks like green star polyps to me. They'll grow and spread to other rocks quickly. Isolate the rock they're on if you want to slow them down a little. They're easy to trim back, though, and I think they're nice looking.

Yep, looks like GSP (or a variety of it). Is that a regular fluorescent light? You're going to need to upgrade that pretty quickly depending upon what you want to keep.

Isolate that rock w/gsp on it so that the gsp can't touch any other rocks etc. Don't necessarily get rid of it until you know the direction you want to take the tank. But if you isolate it somewhat you have time to think about it. The type of tank you want will also determine your lighting.

Depending on which way you go with the tank you can most likely figure spending about $600.00-$1000.00 on lighting, providing you don't find something used. I just bought a 250w retro MH light with a 14k Hamilton light and it was about $225.00 so you can multiply that by 3 for a 125 gallon tank.

The white things circled in yellow are either foraminiferens or spirobid polychaetes. They are too blurry to tell.

Either way, they are harmless.

The green star polyps are circled in red.
