Ok. I have cleaned every tube and collection cup, made sure all hoes were not clogged. There are still no bubbles -- well bubbles but very small bubbles??? Here are some pics and I hope the captions help me figure out what's going on.

I would have expected more air bubbles in the main chamber. This is my dirty G3, cup cleaned before bed time last night.

You are simply not getting enough air. Most of the time it isn't just the airline that gets clogged but the entire air pathway. The hot r/o water will remove most of the gunk out of the airway.

Is your pump close enough to the waters surface ?

Yeah. It's close. Here is the manual pic and a pic describing what you have going on at the store. I've had that before but it is not consistent? Does the break in process start over after cleaning? Although, it happens even when I don't clean it so I don't know?

I did that. I cleaned EVERYTHING and honestly it wasn't that bad. So, I'm really confused?

Was the bubble production ever better than that? I would make sure the needlewheel is not clogged or has a broken finger.

Yeah, it has been better but never consistant??? Sometimes, it's worked great...Other times I have to run it wet...

I'm coming over Thursday eve and I'll check it out if you don't have it figured by then.

Thanks! Lookin' forward to it. Think you can handle some Guinness? If so, I'd hate to be your patient the next day. Hopefully it's steve:lol:

If you want, the wife and kids are welcome to come. As you know, I have 2 kids also.

Is your return line submerged at all? The return line on these makes a pretty big difference. I try to keep mine as much out of the water as possible. It's just hanging on the edge of the bubble diffuser box.

I'd say you are letting your bubbles go too high up your riser tube also. If you can tell from the picture below, my water line goes just a little above the red ring. Sometimes I go a little higher, like to the bottom of the cup. Keep in mind you're not going to get a bunch of dry skimmate right after you make a change to the skimmer. Give it a day or two and see what happens.

Can you adjust your sump level, skimmer level, or output tube?

It looks to me like you have too much water inside the skimmer. This creates too much head pressure on the pump and it can't pull in enough air to produce bubbles.

Try and lower the water level in the skimmer and let it go for a few hours and see how it does.
