OK, Me too. Macro Pic's

im kinda upset...my scroll coral was lookin really good and then i upgraded my lights and it has started to bleach out. I even acclimated my lights and all but still. I have no way of moving it lower so idk.

Same camera I have always been using, a Nikon d50 but I did get a nice nikkor 105 mm macro lens thats what I took this pic with, I am going to take some today when the lights come on using a tripod this time I think it will help a lot.

I took around 20 pics and could only get these 2 as half way acceptable. I will keep trying and get more and better ones.
For now: Montipora i got last month, showing nice growth (the white areas)

This is a pink cap with a green with blue edge cap combo rock, they will grow together and it should be pretty cool in a year or so when they get bigger

Scott has been "building " some combos like that he's even doing some with 3 caps, I gave him the idea
I saw a couple at MACNA that Eric Borneman "built"
they were very bright caps with 3-4 different color combos, it was pretty neat looking

yea i just got one of the three combos with green pink and purple. I had to reglue the frags so the light would get all three but in about 6 months it should be pretty sweet!!! great idea don!

Chris I am swinging out your way today to Big R and Eric's if he calls me. I am going to get my plumbing stuff for the CSD. Could you post the details about the siphon break. Was it 3/4"? Sorry for hijacking.

hmmmm siphon break, you mean the airbleed at the top? thats a 2" reducing tee with an ro fitting in it and some ro tubing, heres a pic is this what your talking about??
