1- is it bad to keep 300g of sea water in a container to do water changes

2-do i have to keep the water moving all the time or can i put a pump on a timer a few time a day

3- should i keep my sand bed which is 6 months old or should i just get a hall new sand bed

4- and the last one changing the sand bed will it cost me to star over a new cycle

Storing natural sea water for a long period is not good. It should be used no more that 24hrs after collected and many of use don't do that. There can be lots of die off in collected sea water if allowed to sit. Using a maxi jet or other pump for circulation will help but try not to store for too long. If moving to a larger tank, I would use as much of the old sand if possible since its only 6 months old and add new. You should not cycle as long as you use your live rock.

1. It depends on the source. if you are buying filtered seawater from your LFS, then it will be fine. If it is water pulled out of the ocean (hopefully quite a ways off shore), don't leave it sitting around without filtering it.

2. If it is from your LFS, minimal aeration is needed. An air pump or small powerhead will be fine. If it is unfiltered seawater and you are filtering it, that will handle aeration.

3. Keep it.

4. Moving a tank will cause a mini-cycle as there will be die off of many organisms, including the bacteria that precipitate the nitrogen cycle. however, it will not set you back to "ground zero." Most likely, you won't be able to detect anything with most test kits.

1- it is not bad
2 - little air bubbler will do
3 - use half of it and replace half
4 - it will not make you cycle again.

Ditto. Moving a tank is tricky. You can do it with minimal to no cycle, but if you do it wrong you could have problems. Keep everything wet if possible and in water whenever possible. Keep aireators on everything. Good luck!
