Ok starting over

Ok so I'm starting this over I'm down but not defeated. I had a 72 gal. that had shrimp, hermit crabs, and snails but had a mishap. While cleaning green hair alge from the tank, I believe my RODI filter was not giving me pure water the DI filter had begun to change colors, but I thought I had time to change it and I think I introduced bad water into my tank thus alge bloom, unfortunately this also killed all my inverbrets, I had no fish in the tank at that time.This go round I will start with coral first then add fish ( I think I moved to fast last time with the fish). So now I'm in the process of gathering everything I need so I can start over including a new tank which will be much better then the last one. This time I be more deligent is every area of this hobby I have learned a whole lot in the few months I have been in this hobby. With all that being said from time to time I would like to ask you all for your advice on equipment. Any advice now would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Youer going to need to provide specifics for the tank like size and if it has a sump etc before people can give recommendations.

Also an algae bloom isnt going to kill snails and crabs, thats what they eat. You should test your water parameters to see what is going on in your water. You say you just had inverts, did you have any fish, what kinds? Did they die? What kinds of equipment do you already own?
