ok im really new to this.i want to be able to suport bacis coalrs like frogspawn and maybe an anemone would this work on a 75 gallon tank. or would i want the mh ands t5s

Metal halides should always be your first choice IMO. MH bulbs with T5 Actinic bulbs to supplement would be great and is the most common arrangement of lighting used by serious reefers.

I agree if you have the money dont skimp on lighting that would be a big mistake. Do you have a canopy on your tank? You could do retrofit kits if you have a canopy and would be cheaper... HTH
