Old 20G FW Tank, ok for quarantine??

I have an old 20 Gallon tank, formerly used for a freshwater Oscar tank. This Oscar died of a strange head disease. Would it be ok to use it for a QT tank? What is the best way to clean it?

I also have a old wet dry filter as well with bioballs.. Would it be ok for a permanent QT filter so I don’t have to worry about cycling the tank over and over and do excess water changes? I am after a long term QT tank that will get bi-weekly water changes from my main display.

Any thoughts would be great!

yea it would be a good QT just wash it with the hose
