old 5017 controller

I found an old tunze osmolator with the 5017 controller buried in my storage room, the power cord was corroded terribly and unremovable from the unit. it was also doing solid beep and too low LED was solid on while constant beeping when plugged in.

is this something that is fixable? I already removed the old power plug with solder iron since i know it was not fixable. But i figured I would ask before i went ahead and threw the unit in the garbage.

thank you for your time!

so you did a dry test? or with water and the low water level LED is always on?

i tried both in water and out, same result both ways, after that i read about water damage/corrosion on the power plug, so i tried removing the prongs for power plug on my own, which didn't work, so i was going to chuck it but figured i'd see what they said in here before i tossed it out.

bottom red led solid on, with solid beep when it was powered up no matter what.

It looks to be pre 2008 which can be problematic as there were many changes in late 2008 that can cause reliability issues between an old board and new components, they were completely changed again in late 2012. While I won't say repair is impossible, it likely is not cost effective or worthwhile.

ok, i figured as much, no worries. I'll just save the sensors and toss the board, thanks for taking the time to check it out, it's greatly appreciated!
