old clown fighting new one

OK I have 1 percula from a mated pair and I know he was the smaller male that was getting pushed around, unfortunately the mated female died for a few months.

I looked at many LFS believe it or not they are not usually available, after a few months I found one today, I have no idea of it's sex but upon introducing he is constantly chasing the new clown and biting anywhere he can.

I want to know if the original male will settle down. Although one thing is very strange, the tank is 4' wide and I don't know why the new guy insist of following and then getting his butt kicked (he is slightly smaller).

Since I have no idea of the new clown's gender, can clowns change their sex back and forth to form a pair again?

:) Nope, its a one way jump from sexless to male to female. Once they jump to the next step there isn't any going back. Your original male is more than likely a female now. If the new guy you got is either sexless or a male (in which case if its sexless it'll make the jump to male) they may pair and your now female will probably settle down. If the new one you got has already been alone long enough to make the jump to female one or the other will more than likely tear the other to shreds ;).
