Hey all, was just sitting here thinking about old used halide bulbs and thought of something..
We all know they contain mercury, and have to be disposed of to hazmat protocol. Now, HD and other places have a drop box for you to bring used spiral CF bulbs to be disposed of properly, but no one has anything for halide that I know of.
That said. As an HVAC contractor, I am EPA certified in handling and disposal of mercury (old thermostats) . I have access to several mercury drop off points to dispose of it the proper way.
If anyone has old bulbs they need disposal of, I will take them to the proper facilities for you if you like. No charge at all, just something I was thinking about and wondering how many people had toxic garbage cans or garages on here from this.
