It can be done. The notebook must have both wired and wireless interfaces. Disable the firewall. Google how to bridge network connections for the operating system ie XP, Vista, etc.
Do not try to use Windows' Internet Connection Sharing feature BTW.
I've done it, I was just asking to help out becuz I see people going crazy trying to use those expensive wireless cards. And I know most people have old laptop laying around
Your first post came across as asking if it could be done, not as a suggestion to others. If you really feel that it's a viable solution, why don't you do a "how to" write-up?
