Old MP40 solid red light

Dis-Membered
I have an older MP40w (white square controller) that just stopped working and has turned on a solid red light. I was away for a few days and came home last night and noticed it wasn't running and the red light was on.
I tried unplugging and replugging it but no dice.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Fesso,

If you're unable to clear the error code by performing a soft/hard reset on the controller, I would recommend purchasing a new controller.

Thanks, I don't have the original manual. Could you please tell me how to do a reset or provide me with a link to the instructions.
Much appreciated.

EDIT: I did find instructions but for the new ES Driver I have the older version that is a white square controller/driver.

Holding the MOde and Set buttons don't do anything... are there instructions how to factory reset my driver?

Alternately is the new Quiet Drive controller compatible with my wet and dryside? I might spring for one if I have to but I would much rather get this one working again....

Fesso,

If you attempted to hold down the Mode and Set buttons without any success, the controller cannot be reset. That said, you can upgrade to the QuietDrive controller which is compatible with your dryside, wetside and power supply. To factory reset your controller:

1) With the controller powered on, press and hold the "Mode" and Set" buttons until the dial blinks Red, White and Blue.
2) Press and hold the "Mode" button until dial blinks Red and Purple.
3) Press and Hold the "Mode" and "Power/Option" buttons until the pump powers off and resets.

Thanks.... now there's something different happening and I don;t think it is the driver that is the problem.

I just started to play around with it again after some time. I plugged it in and it spins the motor for about 20 seconds and then turns a solid red.
If I unplug it and leave it for a few minutes it does the same thing. I am able to change modes while it lasts... about 20-30 second until it turns solid red again...

Any ideas on what I might be able to try to get it going?
