I have 2 bags of play sand that were opened at the top that have been sitting in my basement for over 2 years. Will it still be safe to use in a tank or is it bad? Its the play sand that was said to be safe for tanks something that had the word Castle in it.
As long as the sand didn't get wet at any point in time, I would think you would be fine... A lot of people don't like to use Silica based sand in their tanks though... Just a thought...
