olympus evolt 500

I have had this camera for about 6 months now and really need to start using it. it's an 8 mp DSLR and I have 2 lenses; 14-45mm and 40-150mm.

Any tips on how to use this? I know it's a broad question, but I need to start somewhere.

Also, I want to get a decent macro lense. What should I look at?

This page lists all the lenses Olympus makes for that mount. There are 2 macro choices and from what I can tell they both will give you true macro magnification [1:1], so either would fit the bill. This article will help you get better close-ups and this article will help you understand how the camera works so you can get out of auto mode and have creative control. Hope this helps,
