Just to throw another spin on the game, the media pumped up the Bears as though they already won the Superbowl all week long. The Bears themselves already comparing themselves to the real Monsters of the Midway. It is game 6 I mean come on. You still have 11 games to play before kickoff last night and cannot compare themselves to anyone at this point.
Don't get me wrong I am a die hard Bears fan, but I hate to see overconfidence beat a team and they were beat up until the 4th quarter. It was liek there were two different teams that played the first half and the second half. I think Lovie Smith should have had a major reem of his players after 14-0, but he was just standing there watching the parade go by. In my opinion I don't feel the Bears practiced hard enough for this game and Arizona was certainly prepared and majorly hungry.
You have a new stadium, national coverage on Monday night(Bears having one of the worst records on Monday night), a Heisman trophy winner, the fans totally behind them, everyone tellign them their is no way they can win, and absolutely nothing to lose. I was worried about the game all day yesterday bcause of all of this and Arizona came out strong and shocke everyone.
I am absolutely thrilled the Bears won, but they did not deserve it. They got lucky with turnovers in the second half after giving up 5 turnovers in the game. I can't remember a team that won after givign up 5 turnovers. They have some real practiving to do. Are these guys destined?
Maybe!
And what the hell was up with all of the false start penalties. It was like that ref just came out of school and the one thing he remebered was to look out for false starts.
