I suggest you go to the reef chemistry forum and read articles written by Randy Holmes-Farley. The articles are very very helpful. He gives you suggestions on how to correct your values and what else may be impacted by your corrections.
good luck

your alk is high, but not really high enough to panic . have you been dosing any pH buffers? or adding something for alk? the alk levels will drop on their own in time, but a few water changes will help. heres a link that is a must bookmark page. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rhf/index.php
i try to keep my alk a little high, around 10dKH or 3.5meg/L.
I did buffer with a dKH pro liquid buffer recently. The tank is a newly set up tank that is just finishing up the cycling process with the live rock and live sand. I wanted to buffer the chemical values to get ready to place livestock in there and this was the reading but the calcium is 410 ppm, I read the suggested articles by Randy-Holmes Farley and it seems fine.
Thanks a bunch
a calcium level at 410ppm is fine, i try to keep 400-420. i would not add any more alk buffer, and just let it drop on its own. when starting out it takes upto a couple of months for the calc/alk balance to work itself out.
