On vacation in Cape cod- Need advice

So I'm at the beach in Cape cod and started searching through tide pools and inlets. I found a bunch of clams, boiled them, and although they're a little gritty, tasted pretty good.
I've read many forums about people collecting nsw and critters and putting them in their tanks. I finally have the opportunity, but I want to do it right. I have a 37g DT with 29g sump established fo over a year. I have a friend looking after it, so hopefully everything will be intact when I get back.
I also set up a 7g before I left with songes that had been sitting in my sump for a while and water from my last water change.
I brought 2 5g buckets with me and plan on collecting some snails, hermits, water, maybe some clams, rock and sand. Question is- where do I put it. I'd love a new cuc for my sump and DT, pods, crabs, macros, etc. Will it be safe to acclimate them to the Sump or DT (can they carry diseases or parasites that can effect my tanks), should I use the new 7g tank, or should I just set up a whole new system?
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Disease/parasites are threats. I'm not sure of the legality of collecting and transporting these critters. Also, the water temperature off the Cape is quite a bit lower than our tropical reef aquariums.

We just got back from the Cape this past Thursday. We played in the tide pools, had hermit crab races and took some pics. I wouldn't attempt to bring critters back from there based on the concerns mentioned above.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and if you get a chance, go to the Yardarm and have a Cape Cod IPA and a stuffed quahog. Delish!!
