one 400W or two 250W

Hi ,,

I have 3.2 feets Long x 1.6 feets 1.6 feets width reef tank and i planning to change my lights and i have now 150w , what did you advice me : one 400w ore two 250w for sps keeps ?

I think you'd be OK with a single 250wt as long as you use a quality reflector.

I say one 250 also. I would add some actinic sup in the form of T-5HO or even PC's. Makes your tank and corals look much nicer, IMO

A 400 is WAY WAY overkill on that size tank.

250 watter is plenty of light for an 18" deep tank. I'd do a 10 -14 k bulb with a lumen arc mini reflector either DE or SE bulb. Depending on the K value of your lamp I would get some 36" t-5s or VHOs as supplements.
