One coral's death cause another one to RTN?

I purchased a coral through an online website but it arrived a day late. I was told to accept the package and acclimate anyways. The coral was DOA. I added it anyways. Next morning I see my Bellina died overnight all my other SPS corals are good. Nothing out of the ordinary with parameters.

Just wondering if one coral caused another coral to die as well

short of them touching, or in the case of a mass slime event in which a copious amount of slime from another ended up sitting on another coral I have never seen it

doesnt mean it couldnt happen

If i suspected that in any way I would probably make today a water change day, and make sure some fresh carbon is being run in a reactor just to be safe

they share the same water so I wouldnt be surprised. Micobial infections can spread easily like a flu especially when u have powerheads moving water around in the tank
