One headed dendro not multiplying

I have 1 head of dendro that I purchased about 6 months ago. I have it in a fairly shaded area bc when I first got it I was told that they do not like direct light. It is very healthy. I target feed it once every other day. It is always out and never sunk in. However, the "stalk" is encrusted with coraline algae. Will this prevent my dendro from sprouting new heads? Does anyone recomend that I put this in direct light? Would love any info on what to do to get this to sprout new heads as it is probably one of my favorites in my tank.

Hey, I had the same problem initially- just a slow multiplier sometimes. I was told to just keep feeding as I was and do regular water changes. With a bit of patience I now have one fully formed baby head that has sprouted and another sprouting on the other side. Seems like once they get going it is all down hill from there- just takes a bit

i have alot of baby came out and had sponge cover around it. just make sure the baby grow and healthy it will win the sponge. ( yellow sponge)

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just be patient and see what happens. Tempted to purchase another in the meantime! lol

i've had mine for about a year now, one large head and a one smaller one. Moved it to another tank and saw that there were a couple baby bumps forming. From what I've read they're pretty slow growers.

I have a one headed dendro that's been in my tanks for oh, almost four years now? Still one head. Been in different tanks, different feeding schedules, etc, it just don't want to add heads I guess.

I feed mines everyday. I think i got it about 4-5 months ago, it has now grown a full seperated smaller head and 2 babies i can see a 3rd about to form.

I was feeding mine daily in the old tank I had and it actually spawned. There was tons of little 1/8th inch dendros all over the rocks. Sadly, I no longer have the tank or the rock. :(

Yea I received a three headed Dendro in March, feed it every 1-3 weeks since then, and hasn't multiplied. One of them has actually looked like it died, but is now regrowing from the same polyp it originally had. I actually wish it would multiply much quicker, but it's not happening..
