One White Speck

I have a 75 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump and all water parameters are zero except for nitrates which is at 10 ppm. I have a long nose butterfly fish and I just noticed there is one white speck on its fin. The fish is acting normal, eating properly and not rubbing against anything. I am not sure if it is ick because ick normally as white specks all over the fish's body. What could this white speck be?

An ich infestation has to start somewhere and, unfortunately, that's often just a spot on a fin. A single ich spot is often compared to a grain of salt. If you Google "marine ich", you'll see mostly fish with serious ich problems and not the initial stages. Ich symptoms also come and go. Just one "spot" can disappear, where its in the substrate multiplying X hundreds. On the plus side, many things are often mistaken for ich.
Of course, I can't tell if this is ich at this stage, a pic would help.

I know. I would show you a photo but you will never be able to see the spot. It is very small,, on a yellow long nose butterfly fish and won't show up in a photo.

It has been a week now and the same white seck on the fin is still there. If it was ick, there would be specks all over its body by now
