Online fish order with sick fish - Need advice

I received an order of fish online on Friday. One of the fish had something wrong with its eye. The eye was all white, but it wasn't swollen like pop-eye. It was swimming upside down in the bag. I had purchased several fish and planned to quarantine them together. The customer service rep told me to put the one fish in a hospital tank and treat it with Melafix and Pimafix. They said to treat the other fish in the quarantine tank also.

Well, the sick fish died a few hours later. A second fish died on Sat. And one more died yesterday. Can anyone give me advice on a more effective treatment plan? I really can't stand watching these poor fish die! :-((

The sg in the quarantine tank was 1.022. I didn't test the transport water, but site says to have water between 1.021 & 1.024. The fish that was sick on arrival never made it into the hospital or quarantine tank. I could see the white eye in the transport bag.

Does anyone have suggestions about treating the rest of the fish, so they don't get it, too? On a good note, the remaining fish are swimming a lot and eating.

Yes, they are. But they were all exposed to whatever killed the other fish. I'd like to prevent any more losses, but I don't have much experience with infections. So, if anyone can give me some advice to keep the rest of the fish healthy, I would really appreciate it.

If they are eating and otherwise behaving normally, I would keep an eye on them and treat only as necessary. If the deceased fish had a bacterial infection, I would keep a broad-spectrum antibiotic on hand. I'm partial to Kanaplex, but Maracyn Plus works as well. Pimafix and Melafix are worthless IMO/IME.
