i was just wondering if anyone has heard of or ordered from www.aquatraders.com the prices for somethings seem to good to be true there is a couple of threads elsewhere on this site and others but when you see pc lighting 260w for 80 bucks wow that just can't be right

just wondering what everyone else thought???

i have a jebo 48inch light. it had to be rewired so i could turn the atn. and day on at different times it came with 1 plug so you couldn't set each to timers.the quality imo not that good but for the price who cares. i have heard about the jebo skimmer something like the 502 or something has been really good if your a diy person and make some modes to it . i think that skimmer is now on clearance for $29.00 I was thinking of ordering it just to play around with it. Has anybody heard about the metal halides, I was thinking about ordering one of there 20inch 175W and two 18w actinic, and 2 moon lights.

I've heard about the halides starting fires. Just so ya know I own the 2x55 PC lights with no problems yet.

I've got a 3x250w OE setup with the EVC electronic ballasts and bulbs, along with PFO pendants. It's a steal price-wise. Two of the first three bulbs I got cracked and burnt out in about three weeks, but they were good about replacing them and I haven't had any issues since.

that you for your input, has anybody heard about those lights starting fires??????? Percula3 who did you heard this from, another forum or personal experince??? Thank you for your input

Thank you for your help, I have changed my mind about getting that light from aquatraders.com, I will probably get 250 Watt EVC Tech Electronic Metal Halide Retro Kits for 159.99, it ends up being cheaper with shipping, and it should be a lot better. Thanks for all of the input.

The MH lights they sell are Odyssea. They also sell these for more money at the Fish Factory on Oklahoma Ave in Milwaukee. I went and looked at them - they are even using them on their reef tank - they look fine. I ordered a 36" unit with a 175 MH and 2 PCs... It should be here soon. I will report on how it works. For $200 it was worth the chance.
