Only eat cyclopeeze!

My 2 ocellaris only eat freeze dried cyclopeeze and I am afraid they wont get enough out of this food. Plus is dirties my tank feeding this sto them regularly.

I have tried Formula 1 pellet as well as other marine granule foods. They dont touch Formula 2 flake.

I would rather stick to non frozen foods if possible but I will feed whatever they will eat.

I think they avoid the Formula 1 pellet because it sinks like a rock and doesnt stay suspended...is the flake any different?

I am going to try another store today and look at their selection and see what I find.

I also have Selcon which I was told is a great additive...I have been using this with the cyclopeeze.

Should I maybe try cyclopeeze wafers? Seems like they would get more out of those than the freeze dried powder...although the cleaner shrimp likes that!

I could even make my own food and package it if that will be best...anyone have a recipe?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My clows love the mysis and krill. If you do feed them fozen foods though I put the frozen food in a small dish and wait for it to thaw and then drain the water from the dish so all that dirty "stuff" that comes with the frozen food will be gone and you just have little shrimp.

Formula one flake may work better for you. It is a meat based food which is best for the clownfishes but it doesn't sink like pellets. I would suggest using the flake and just take your pinch of food and put it underwater in your hand and then sort of squish your fingers together so that the flake ends up floating around in the tank rather than floating on top of the water. It will still stay suspended much longer than the pellets and it will also move around in the water currents which helps to stimulate the "hunting" instinct.
