I'm considering putting a frag setup in the room directly below my display. Rather than using a high wattage/noise/volume pump to connect the systems, I'm considering using a set of peristaltic pumps (spectrapure litermeter pump) that would exchange about 25gpd max between the systems. The skimmer would be on the main system upstairs (around 200g), and there would be another 80g volume or so in the frag system. Would the exchange of 25gpd into the main system provide adequate skimming for the frag system? Assume a skimmer sized to match the overall volume of the setup.
