onyx A. percula

I would love to do that. Unfortunately, every time I try to use the search for a thread, it seems to be down. What's up with that?!

Thanks again! Those are some beautiful photos. I can't wait. But of course I will.

So if you buy them young you don't really know coloration. Does rod sell paired fish? On the other hand, if you get them older then lose one you have to get a young one to try and re-pair. No color guarantee there either...

Serra, I don't think that Rod sells paired Onyx, but I've not seen any that didn't color up either! :)

Since I'm local, I'm able to visit on a semi-regular basis! Rod offers them at varying prices, depending on the age. The pair I bought has colored nicely and many of our local (CMAS) members have bought Onyx from Rod also.

You won't find a more helpful, knowledgeable clown breeder, so call him and get his advice on what way to go! :D

Ok but don't young ones pair up? One becoming female and one male? So if you buy 2, you get a pair? I will talk to him before I order.

I bought my pair of onyx from Rod a little over a month ago. At first it seemed that one would color up while the other would not.

I have attached some photos to show just how much each one has colored up in a very short amount of time. Also, if you purchase from Rod they should be paired up by the time you receive them because of their time together while being shipped.

The first photo was taken when I first received my onyx...

The next few photo of Lucy and Ricky (my wife renamed them since they sleep in separate beds) were taken last week. I hope you enjoy...

Just so I am not the only one selling Onyx, There were some other breeders that had fry hatch before most of the new pics of mine that are turning up. Some that were hatched before the clowns that craig has posted in this thread. I know Marinap had some and I beleive that Jhardman had some, but maybe sold his pair. I know FFFrog has some young juvies

And Fiberlux (and all). Thanks for the very kind words, but even though I have a breeding pair of fish, I do not consider myself much of a clownfish breeder. I'll leave fish brereding to the experts here that I have learned so much from. And while I am thanking the breeders, Id like to also thank my favorite poster in this Forum, Phender, who is always right on with his advice, and especially the way he presents his advice.. A1 rating in my book!. Between Him and Traveller7, you cant find any more helpful people in this whole hobby IMO. Sorry for drifting off topic, but I was on a roll

I looked all over for a pair of onyx for my tank. I could not find any other than Rod's. I feel other breeders don't have them or they just can't get them to color up like the rods onyx.

Rod-
Looks like you're the man whether you want to be or not. :) Do you ship during the summer months?

pm sent.
