look like it.. all black midsection between the 1st white bar and 2nd white bar...

They are not onyx. sorry. they must be black between all bars (i.e. 2nd and 3rd) and some say even the dorsal must be black. do a seach for the onyx thread or click like one page more haha

hum... if they are juvenile, maybe the first one maybe is one.. the other one i really doubt!

Exactly, nice percs none-the-less.

onyx now or potential onyx.

the trick is to find a "potential" onyx at a low price.

ireef. look in your tank. you have the a very very good representation :)

they both have very nice bodies though. the more i look at clowns the more i m starting to appreciate ones with nice bodies.

i agree, very nice percs either way.

I've seen other pics around here with them being labeled as onyx so that's why I figured I would ask.

And yes, they are juvenile fish maybe only 6 months old.

Thanks for all the responses.

They look pretty big for 6 months old, IMO. They may be onyx clowns, My pair of clowns come from Rod's onyx clowns. I don't know how old they are but they are just less then an inch in size and have about the same amount of black as yours do.
