Onyx clowns at petco? Whattttt!!

Yes I too was shocked to see some similar to those at our Petco here in Houston I would have gotten them but I aleady have a pair of True Percs in my tank and they just laid their second batch of eggs....

I might just have to keep my eyes open to see if our Petco's get the snowflakes & black ice in and setup a tank just for them... They are so pretty..

Only the really high volume (in saltwater) stores can get the designer clowns in when ever they want, otherwise most stores can do a special order, or just keep checking or have the department manager give you a call when they are expecting a "push" shippment for a sale. I usually recommend having them call you when they arrive, and have them keep it in the shipping bag if you can get there within a couple hours. If get the fish directly from the farm (ORa, Sustainable aquatic , or sea and reef) I don't bother QT as long as they arrive in good condition.

Anybody here from Michigan. I'm a newbie and it looks like we have only 4 Petco stores in the whole state. I've been to the one in Lansing and that store is very small with no clowns at all. Just curious if it would be worth the drive to the other stores.

The petco near me constantly has snowflakes and picasso's. I bought a beutiful pair of snowflakes from them about a 1yr ago. unfortunatly several months later one jumped, so I sold the other. They order directly from ORA and SA. I also met a local reefer who works at another petco and he also stated the same. The trick is to get them before they put them in there tanks.
