onyx or not?

hey i was wondering, are these a pair onyx clowns? cause the male is only ALL black on the front half. i think they are onyx, but have no clue if im right.

Female, yes. Male, no, but looking at his markings on the dorsal I think there is a very very good chance he will eventually extend the black between the mid and tail bar. Nice pair.

They look like Solomon Island onyx - try feeding them some bloodworms or Rod's Food to see if you can push the color out on the male. Also, it can take up to two years for the color to spread naturally to the dorsal fin.
