Oops - wrong assumption about AEFW using QT

I have been dealing with AEFW and so I have built a QT and have been dipping my acros once a week for three weeks.

This was my process once a week ....

1. take all acros out of the QT
2. dip them for 10 minutes and blast them with water while dipped
3. rinse them in one bucket of salt water
4. rinse them in a second bucket of water
5. examine them under a magnifier
6. put them back in the QT

See a problem????

I have white tiles in the QT tank so I can better see stuff crawling there. While all the corals were being dipped, I saw a AEFW crawling on the tile.

I always assumed all the AEFW were on the acos. I guess I was wrong. There can be a few in between corals.

I suppose it’s possible although they really seem to stick to the corals.
However, I think they do travel at times..
Good set up you have. Stick to it and you should be successful.
Maybe some potential aefw eating fish in the qt would help with the stray flatworms..
Wrasses, mandarin goby, pipefish?
