Open brain losing flesh??

Came home from work today to see my open brain losing flesh. Very random. All other corals doing fine. Have another open brain doing perfect right next to it. The red on the left is doing great, green on the righ was added last week, about 7 days ago. Was doing fine until this afternoon. Any suggestions?

I have frogspawn, hammer, blastos, favia, candy cane all doing very well. Parameters all checked out fine.

Not very bright today, sorry, coral is in 28g nano on the bare bottom starboard. Under Kessil a150w sky blue.

Probably moving it would get more focused attention. Also, it is always desirable to provide water parameters.

Thanks, appreciate. All parameters check out.

Looked even worse this morning, check all around yesterday, turkey basted a little around it, didnt seem to have anything irritating it. I had it next to another brain, moved it away from the brain in a lower light area. Hoped it would look a little better today. Nothing doing. Very strange this happened very quickly. Other brain looks and seems perfectly healthy. Really hope this doesnt spread. Going to do a water change today just in case.

I have an emerald crab, never saw him near it. Also have a variety of dwarf ceriths and cerith snails. I have noticed my population of asterina starfish is raising. Never saw them near the brain either though. This was a 2 day process. Yesterday is when I first saw a sign of tissue loss, moved it away from the other brain into a lower light area. Then this morning saw about half the brain has lost its tissue. Just crazy how fast it moved. Very sad. Beautiful piece. Just weird that the one brain has doubled in size and is happy and this one added a week ago is not.

I would suspect the emerald crab, maybe place a trap near the brain coral and see it you can relocate him to the sump for now.

At work now, hoping its not too far gone. I will try the iodine dip if it looks salvageable.

No way the emerald crab did it, it was a small piece at first yesterday, but this morning half the brain was gone, and I could see some of the flesh hanging off the brain. Just doubtful the small emerald could do that kind of damage in 24 hours.
