Open Brain Positioning in Tank

I have an open brained coral and was wondering what the best position in the tank would be for it. I read that it should be placed on the bottom of the tank, but yet I also read that it likes moderate to heavy lighting. Do they like to be fed krill?

I have had the OB for a couple of years and have it about midway up towards the lighting sitting on a rock ledge. It has done OK, just looking for ways to help it thrive more.

Suggestions?

TIA

I had a nice red/blue open brain that wouldn't open for nothing unless he was located in the shade, I actually had to put him in a cave to get him to open properly. Some species like more lighting than others.

I have a red one, and it get's huge placed on the sand. Moderate flow and weakish lighting, 130W PC for a 29 gallon. I'd be afraid it might get damaged when it inflates if it was next to or on a bunch of LR.

Had mine on rock in an open area and he would inflate nicely. Put him in an open area of the sand and he inflates HUGE! Looks great now.
