open brain question

i purchased a beautiful open brain with deep red on the outer rim part and neon green center but its been like 2 weeks and it has faded its colors. its getting whiter. i no its no bleaching cuz it still looks full like wen i first got it, its just its color. any body no why its fading?

I could be wrong but some mths back i had that same problem when my tank was new. I dont know if my tank was lacking proper nutrients and 2 of them faded. After nearly 6 mths, they have gotten back their color with regular feedings of chromamax coral food (Kent)
