Open Brain Question

The below pics show my open brain that I got a couple of months ago, the first two pics are when I had it in QT - Looked great - was always puffed up, I fed him pieces of shrimp, the 3rd pic is of him now in my main tank. He's puffed out every now and then but nothing like when he was in qt.

My parameters are

nitrite 0




nitrate 0
cal 420
kh 8
salinity 1.025
sp 35
I use RO/DI water for top off and to make salt water
my light is a 4 bulb, t5 HO (bought it in May) no bulb changes yet.

My guess would be lights and flow. Most LPS like low to medium indirect flow and low to medium light.

I would also say flow. Try moving it to a more sheltered spot. I have 2 mp40's in my tank and had a hard time finding a spot for my 2 open brains that they were happy. Even not if I turn the mp40's off they puff up more. I have the mp40's turned almost right down and it's still too much for some of my lps.

wanted to post this new pic of my open brain - he's all puffed out, has been for days now, is he bleached?

yha looks like bleaching to me try moving him to a spot where he dosent get direct light

move him to into indirect light and that will help.
